QR printing is the fastest way to move a file from your phone to the kiosk without cables or accounts.
The QR print path
Each session QR is tokenized. It is not a public inbox. Only that kiosk session can receive the file.

Why the token matters
Files are validated, stored with short-lived URLs, and removed after the retention window. Another customer cannot reuse your QR after timeout.
Scan QR, upload, pay, print
That sequence is the product. It is also how we explain self-service printing to first-time users. If the QR looks like a payment QR from another brand, stop — a Tap4Print session QR opens an upload page on tap4print.com, not a random UPI intent. Payment is a later step after you see the quote.
The QR is bound to one kiosk session. When the session times out, the token dies. That is why a photo of last month’s poster should not upload into someone else’s job. Details are on Security and the full flow is on How it works.
QR printing vs other upload paths
QR is the same service as print from phone. Scan-and-print is different: no file on the phone, paper on the glass. Document printing on the kiosk screen is the same destination with a different start button.
After upload, you still choose A4 or A3, color or B&W, and sides. Find a machine first on Locations. Hotel and transit users often land here from public spaces.
Frequently asked questions
Is the QR a payment QR?
No. The session QR is for document upload. Payment uses UPI, card, net banking, or wallet after options are set.
Is the kiosk QR a UPI QR?
No. It is a session upload link. You pay after options, on a Tap4Print payment step.
Can I scan the QR from another kiosk’s poster?
An expired or foreign session token should fail. Always start Print Document on the machine in front of you.
