Security at Tap4Print
Last updated 6 September 2026 · Tap4Print Private Limited, New Delhi
Why security is part of the product
A self-service printing kiosk is unattended. People walk away. Files are personal. Money moves through UPI and cards. Tap4Print is designed so a kiosk screen cannot be trusted as the source of truth for payment, and so the next customer cannot see the last PDF.
This page is the public description of those controls. Legal details live in the Privacy policy and Terms.
Secure document uploads
Phone upload uses a QR code bound to a kiosk session token. It is not a public inbox. Another person scanning an old poster QR should not land in your session after timeout.
The server validates type and size: PDF, JPG, JPEG, PNG, within the Super Admin limit. Word and other office files must be exported to PDF first, as explained in How to print a document.
Temporary document handling
Files use short-lived access URLs. They are deleted after print or after the retention window. The kiosk is not a cloud drive. Scan-and-print creates a PDF that follows the same deletion rules.
If Super Admin must open a file (for example a refund dispute), the product can require a reason and writes an audit log. That is not a back-office browsing tool.
Payment security
Print starts only after backend verification. Wallet debits use idempotency keys so a double tap does not double-charge. Gateway methods (UPI, card, net banking) are confirmed with the provider. We do not store PAN, CVV, or UPI PIN.
Failed paid jobs follow the Refund policy.
Session security
Website login uses OTP, not a reusable password. Kiosk sessions expire after the configured minutes. Success screens clear and return to the home actions. Local drafts are wiped with the session.
Account and admin security
Roles are separated: customer, kiosk operator, location manager, super admin. Operators manage paper, toner, and simple errors. They do not get a global document archive. Administrators see payments, jobs, and devices for the sites they are allowed to see.
What you can do
Do not leave the preview on screen. Collect prints. Use wallet on a phone you control. If a kiosk looks tampered with, walk away and write to tap4printofficial@gmail.com or call +91 83685 14168. Office: Patel Nagar, Central Delhi, Delhi 110008, India.
